Delta Airlines adds ‘Upside of Lonely’ to their Song Roster

JOE LOUIS WALKER TO APPEAR ON CONAN ON MONDAY, MARCH 5

 

Blues guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Joe Louis Walker will appear on TBS’s CONAN on Monday, March 5. Walker & his band will perform the Hambridge-penned song Ride All Night from his new Alligator Records debut CD, Hellfire. Billboard says Hellfire is “one of the strongest albums in Walker’s canon…gutbucket blues, joyous gospel, Rolling Stones-style rock crunch, and aching R&B… a heavenly showcase for Walker’s virtues.”  Tom produced the album Hellfire, played drums & wrote several songs on the CD, including Ride All Night & the title track. Be sure to tune in this coming Monday night to TBS at 11/10 Central.

Tom Hambridge Performs At The White House!!

Tom to perform at The White House!

Tom will be joining Buddy Guy and BB King on Tuesday evening Feb 21st to perform at the ‘Red, White & Blues Concert’ to be held at The White House in Washington DC! Other guest performers include Jeff Beck, Keb Mo’, Mick Jagger & BB King!

The show will be streaming live from the White House website.  It will air on 2/27/12 on your local PBS station. Be sure to check the PBS website or your local listings for future date & time schedules.

Alligator Records has set a January 31, 2012 release date for Hellfire, the label debut from Joe Louis Walker. Hellfire was produced by Tom who also held down the backbeat on drums & percussion. Tom also contributed several songs to the album. Walker says it’s the hardest rocking and most deeply soulful album of his career. On The Road Again……

The new George Thorogood & The Destroyers LP entitled 2120 South Michigan Ave will be released on July 12th.  It will be in both CD and LP format!!

2120 South Michigan Ave is Thorogood’s tribute to Chess Records.  The album was produced by Tom and contains 2 Hambridge written tunes “Goin’ Back” & “Willie Dixon’s Gone”.  The remainng 11 tunes on the album are  classic gems by such greats like Chuck Berry, Will Dixon, Muddy Waters, & Howlin’ Wolf.

Buddy Guy’s ‘Living Proof’ sweeps Blues Music Awards in Memphis!!

Tonight (May 5th) in Memphis Buddy Guy took home 4 Awards including “Album of the Year” and “Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year” for the album, and Tom’s song “Living Proof” won “Song Of The Year”!!  Tom produced, played on & wrote every song on the Grammy Award Winning LP “Living Proof”.

The Blues Awards, The Grammy & The Tour

Tom is on his way to Memphis Tennessee at this very moment.  This is where the 2011 Blues Music Awards ceremony is being held on Thursday May 5th.  Tom & Buddy Guy are up for several awards including Album Of The Year & Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year (Living Proof). Tom is also nominated for Song Of The Year (title track ‘Living Proof’, written by Tom).  In 2009, Tom won a Blues Award for his production & songwriting contributions to Buddy Guy’s ‘Skin Deep’ album.  Let’s hope Tom & Buddy can win a few more awards this year!! Buddy Guy is also up for the BB King Entertainer Of The Year Award & the Contemporary Blues Male Artist Of The Year Award. Congrats to both!
